About Us
Our Story
Thirteen years ago, I opened Little Prince at 199 Prince Street. It had a wonderful run built on incredible memories of polaroids, disco balls, wigs and questionable decision making. It is time for a new chapter, more glamour, more polish, still fun.
Today, Will Makris and I, along with our amazing team, are thrilled to introduce ROMY, our new restaurant in that same SoHo space: a 40-seat jewel box designed by Rafael de Cárdenas.
There's a version of New York that still exists mostly in movies, the one where the dinner party runs late, where a stranger becomes a friend somewhere around the second bottle, where nobody's checking their phone under the table and the sense that anything could happen. You earned it, you should enjoy it.
In the kitchen, Chef Lucrezia Stella (9 Orchard) is reworking the classic steakhouse with a feminine touch. She is joined on the floor by an all-sommelier team, Adam Waddell (EMP), Miroo Kim (Atomix), Mi Kim (EMP), and Spencer Choi-Schagrin (JG).
The room is oxblood and black lacquer, burled wood, dark marble, bronze, leopard carpet, art by George Condo. Opulent but never stiff. The sexiest room in New York.
